Essays on E.B. White’s Essays

March 30th, 2007

Essay Lair Foundation, in celebration of the great essays and essayists of the world, is directing all spotlights on noted American writer E.B. White.

As the common practice of the group, every quarter of the year means a special tribute to a great essayist or a highly insightful essay piece. This is made possible by composing essays and articles on the selected writer’s creations, compiling everything on a webpage, and then undergoing a quarter-long forum and discussion for those essays. .

This quarter, as mentioned earlier, is all about Elwin Brooks White and his great compositions. For those unfamiliar with the name, you may seek familiarity with his more popular children’s works of Charlotte Web and Stuart Little, as well as the universal writer’s reference manual entitled The Elements of Style.

Yes, he created those three famous books. But more than being a book author, E.B. White was also a remarkable essayist. That’s what Essay Lair Foundation hopes to bring about to the contemporary writing world.

For that, we need your usual support. Your insights and essays about E.B. White’s essays will build the content for the webpage. Custom essays from other websites are also welcome, just as long as you inform as of their respective sources.

Here are E.B. White’s essay collections. Read up on them and react. Hopefully, your reflections will trigger an animated discussion of White’s style, musings, and composition:

  • * One Man’s Meat
  • * The Second Tree from the Corner
  • * The Essays of E.B. White
  • * Letters of E.B. White
  • * Poems and Sketches of E.B. White
  • * The Wild Flag

For all those essays that will grace the webpage, we will be rewarding you with an Essay Lair shirt and notepad for all your efforts, together with the necessary byline.

As one, let us celebrate the genius that was E.B. White.
